Bangladesh to Host Women’s T20 World Cup 2028
The eleventh edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, set to take place in Bangladesh in October 2028, will feature Australia as the defending champions.
The tournament will have 10 teams separated into two groups like was the case in the previous edition as well.
Hosts Bangladesh and the top six ranked teams from the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa qualified directly, with the final 3 spots filled by Pakistan and two other teams from the global qualifying tournament.
The Women’s T20 World Cup promises excitement with new and experienced players.
Favourites include Australia, England with Alice Capsey, India with Shafali Verma and Renuka Singh Thakur, and New Zealand with Sophie Devine and Bernadine Bezuidenhout, aiming for improvement after failing to qualify for the semifinal.

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2028 Groups
The teams have been divided into two groups. The top two teams with the most points will advance to the semi-finals. We will have more information on these groups in the lead-up to the competition.
