Auction Activity for IPL 2024

During the IPL 2023 auction, the Mumbai Indians made efforts to consolidate the squad with some notable purchases including Australian all-rounder Cameron Green and Jhye Richardson.
The fact that MI has players of proven quality is its greatest asset. MI is known for sticking to its game strategy and supporting its players.
The MI side is captained by Rohit Sharma and has a strong playing XI including Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Tim David and Cameron Green.
The bowling department is looking formidable with the return of Jofra Archer but unfortunately will miss the services of Jhye Richardson and Jasprit Bumrah this year. The fast bowling line-up has plenty of experience, which could help them stand out in high-pressure circumstances.
SKY is predicted to be one of the biggest match-winners for Mumbai Indians along with Jofra Archer and Bumrah. Although, this side is hugely experienced, with that can come ageing and fatigue in the later stages of the season.
They will need to ensure they rotate when they can but they may be reluctant to do so as they tend not to chop and change the side much. Kieron Pollard, who retired from the IPL last year, will remain with the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023 as the batting coach.
He played for Mumbai Indians for 13 seasons and won the IPL five times and the Champions League T20 twice. IPL 2024 MI player list is placed above.
What Happened in IPL 2023?
Mumbai Indians had struggled in the 2022 edition of the tournament and started off this year’s tournament in the same way they usually do – losing their first two matches. They added three wins in a row after that but two more losses followed to give them just six points from their first seven games.
Over the course of the next seven matches, Mumbai Indians added five victories to their name including a chase of 201 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last game to grab the final IPL playoffs spot.
They then crushed the Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator but were found wanting against Gujarat Titans to end their campaign at the third spot.
