With the addition of two new members to the existing family of eight – Lucknow Supergiant and Gujarat Titans, the IPL has reverted to the 2011 paradigm when the league welcomed two new clubs – Pune Warriors India and Kochi Tuskers Kerala.

That means more teams were battling for quality players and the bidding wars certainly had some spice about them. Mumbai Indians made the second-highest purchase in this year’s auction by purchasing Australian all-rounder Cameroon Green for Rs 17.5 crore.

The defending champions Lucknow Super Giants purchased West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran for 16 crores making him the most expensive wicketkeeper ever.
